Professional Certifications
On June 3-4, 2013, Mr. Gerald D. Hartford, Jr., Principal and Mechanical Engineer representing Hartford Engineering, attended the first and newest certification program developed by the ASPE (American Society of Plumbing Engineers) and IAPMO (the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials). The certification is for GPD - Green Plumbing Design. ASPE is the professional association that represents the industry of plumbing engineering design. IAPMO is the code-body that develops and maintains the Uniform Plumbing Codes, adopted and used in many states and jurisdictions across the United States.
Mr. Hartford has earned the legitimate right to now be considered qualified in GPD - Green Plumbing Design. The acronym "GPD" can now be included behind his name, along with his previously earned certification as a LEED AP and professional engineer.
Having completed and passed the required certification program, Mr. Hartford now supports the ongoing and continued development of the GPD program. He is one of many who now serve as volunteers in improving, updating and expanding the GPD program.
Please congratulate Mr. Hartford on this most recent certification, and please recognize the additional credentials that now follow his name - Mr. Gerald D. Hartford, Jr., PE, LEED AP™, GPD™.
